Saraca Declinata (Gapis / Yellow Saraca)

Gapis (Saraca declinata), the Yellow Saraca, flowers directly on its trunk and older branches. Dense clusters of orange-yellow flowers age through to red, held against foliage that emerges limp and purple-bronze. Prefers shelter and moisture.

Cauliflorous — the flower clusters emerge straight from the trunk and main limbs, an effect worth siting at eye level. Prefers shaded, moist positions, often near water. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
