Salix Babylonica (Pokok Willow)
Pokok Willow (Salix babylonica), the Weeping Willow, is native to northern China and planted worldwide beside water. Long, pendulous branches sweep to the ground in the familiar weeping form, clothed in narrow pale-green leaves. Needs consistently moist ground and does best beside water.
Restricted to permanently damp positions — lake edges, stream banks, irrigated beds. It will fail on any site that dries out, so specify it only where the water table or irrigation can be relied on year-round. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
