Melaleuca Citrina (Bottlebrush)

Bottlebrush (Melaleuca citrina) is an Australian native now widely established in Malaysian planting schemes. Vivid red bottlebrush spikes over fine, slightly weeping foliage that smells of lemon when crushed. Tolerates wet ground and periodic flooding.

Tolerant of wet ground, which makes it useful around detention ponds, swales and lake edges where most flowering trees struggle. Flowers repeatedly through the year rather than in one flush. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
