Delonix Regia (Flame Of The Forest)

Flame of the Forest (Delonix regia) is the most recognisable flowering tree in tropical landscape planting. The flame tree — a broad umbrella crown of fine, ferny bipinnate foliage that erupts into brilliant scarlet-orange bloom, followed by long woody pods. Needs room to spread.

Reserved for large open sites — municipal parks, roundabouts, school fields — where there is room for the root plate and no paving to lift. A poor choice near buildings or services, and worth allowing at least twelve metres of clear ground. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
