Buchanania Arborescens (Otak Udang)

Otak Udang (Buchanania arborescens) is a native species of Malaysia's beach and back-mangrove forests. A hardy coastal species with leathery, blunt-tipped leaves gathered at the ends of the branches and sprays of small white flowers. Copes well with poor, sandy and exposed sites.

Planted for durable canopy on exposed ground where soil is thin or sandy. Undemanding once established and rarely troubled by wind, which makes it useful along coastal roads and in reclaimed-land schemes. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
