Barringtonia Edulis (Pokok Putat)
Pokok Putat (Barringtonia edulis) is a native of the Malaysian lowlands, planted as a waterside feature. Broad leathery leaves cluster at the branch tips above long pendulous flower strings that open as pink powder-puffs. Naturally low-branching, with a bold tropical texture.
Best positioned beside water or along a path where it is viewed from below. Naturally low-branching, so it suits schemes that do not call for a clear stem, and it establishes readily in the humid, sheltered spots many feature trees dislike. Supplied farm-direct as mature stock, ready to establish on your project from day one.
